Throat Definition

• Is your throat center open, undefined or defined? 

• What channels or gates are activated in your throat center?

Our definition (or lack of) reveals a context of which energy is naturally directed and expressed in the entire system of the bodygraph. Where we find definition we see a consistent flow and funneling of energetic expression. The planets that activate these gates will further illuminate the quality of that energy.

Defined Throat

Definition in the Throat reveals a Heavenly Body that is here to impact its reality by sharing a specific frequency in their environment by being attuned to the energetic quality of its definition and from where in the body the energy arrives. In other words, the center that connects to the throat or the channel that is defined.

The defined Throat needs space to create and move with its cyclical urges when they arrive. Inspiration comes in all forms and energetic pulses cannot be consistently predicted so a spacious environment allows for the creative process to surge forward unencumbered by outside circumstance. The arrival of these “energetic surges” creates a protective barrier to it’s outward expression. In Human Design, the word “repellent” is used to describe this auric experience of energy moving away from instead being attracted towards. 

Undefined/Open Throats

Lack of definition in the Throat reveals a Heavenly Body that is here to be sensitive to reality and the constituents of its creation. Lack of definition or openness creates a magnetic field in the Throat center which energetically operates by pushing energy outward into the energetic field. These are people who are attuned to the frequency behind words and actions and can tell when there is sufficient presence with an urges creative properties. They are barometers of depth and presence with one another and help us reach deeper to retrieve pure essence.

The undefined/open Throat also requires spaciousness in order to attune to creative urges in the body. The Throat center is all about presence with the subterranean responses arriving from our Sacral responses. 

Ultimately the only difference, in any of the centers, between a defined center or not, is how the energy is expressed and directed. The definition is going to take a priority on energetic processing but these areas may become stagnated/calcified/blocked depending on many different life/environmental circumstances. By understanding the correspondence between the Throat and Sacral center, this is an additional point of reference when feeling into you own understanding of these areas.

The WOMBS of Creation: The Throat - Sacral Connection

In the Observatory we are looking at Relationships. That is what sets these teachings apart from a more traditional Human Design narrative. In Doorways to the Divine, we see that all things are created in relationship to the One thing that started it all. (See: Juxtaposition Unified Theory ie what HD is based on) There is a precise organization to this reality we are experiencing.

When we discuss and explore the Throat, we are also exploring the regenerative capacities of the Sacral. They are in an intimate relationship and polarity that holds them in a tension that is experienced in our reality. We can explore these edges because they exist within us. We can even see on the surface both areas hold sphincters or “doorways” that move creation forward into the world. The throat moves our voice and intention into reality and our wombs co-create and birth new lives in physical form of new babies. You would see a resemblance of these thresholds even in their physical appearance.

The commonality is held with its potential for creation and the energy to bring it forth into our worlds. This is from where new worlds are birthed. When we look at our Throat center and its specificities, we must also look towards our Sacral and its activations/definition to see what relationship is created within our own differentiation. This polarity of the Throat - Sacral connection holds a negative/positive charge together. The Sacral “envelops” or magnetizes from a negative force and the Throat “repels” or protects from a positive force. These two hold a neutral charge with one another that moves energy synergistically from within the body.
